22-year-old woman pregnant with sixth child
A shocking case shared by a gynecologist in Uttar Pradesh has triggered widespread discussion on social media after a 22-year-old woman was found pregnant with her sixth child. According to the doctor, the woman and her husband were married at the age of 15 and already have five children — four daughters and one son.
The case was revealed by Dr. Pragya Tomar of Spandan Hospital, who stated that the video was uploaded with the consent of the couple. The family reportedly belongs to Rajasthan.
During the interaction, the woman said that she continued having children because she wanted another son. “I keep having girls… we have one boy, we need another boy,” she reportedly told the doctor. Her husband also claimed that one son was “not enough” to support the family and carry forward the family lineage.

The incident has reignited debate over son preference, gender bias, and early marriage practices in India. Many social media users expressed concern over the health and social impact of repeated pregnancies at such a young age.
Dr. Pragya Tomar warned the couple about the serious health risks associated with multiple closely spaced pregnancies. The woman reportedly complained of breathlessness, dizziness, and body pain — symptoms often linked to anemia, nutritional deficiencies, and physical exhaustion.
“You’re risking your life with so many pregnancies,” the doctor warned, stressing that repeated childbirth without proper recovery time can endanger both the mother and the unborn child.
Health experts often advise adequate spacing between pregnancies to protect maternal and child health. The case has once again highlighted the importance of women’s healthcare awareness, family planning, and gender equality in rural communities.
