Actress Neha Dhupia recently launched the Go Flo Run, a new initiative designed to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene and women’s health. In order to draw attention to important issues related to menstrual health and promote candid discussions on subjects like periods, hormonal imbalance, and period products, Dhupia organized this event around walking and running. She was joined by celebrities like Soha Ali Khan, Natasa Stankovic, and fitness expert Yasmin Karachiwala.

At the event, she expressed her personal commitment to fostering openness on this topic, especially for her daughter, Mehr. As a mother to both a daughter and a son, Dhupia aims to educate her children and promote understanding about menstruation as a natural part of life.

“I was fortunate to grow up in a household that welcomed open conversations,” Dhupia said, looking back on her childhood. While my mother and I had private, well-informed conversations on such issues, my father and brother were not actively involved. This experience inspired her to create a similar environment for her own children.

Supporter of Dhupia’s goal, Soha Ali Khan, stated, “It’s important to bring issues that women face, like periods, hormonal changes, and weakness, to the forefront.” Women like Neha inspire us all, and I’m excited to work with her on this initiative.

Women from across the nation found resonance in the Go Flo Run, which strengthened Dhupia’s message of empowerment and self-care. The event also emphasized the advantages of consistent exercise for overall fitness, self-management, and health, promoting the idea that healthy lifestyle choices can be crucial in controlling menstruation health.

The first-ever Go Flo Run is scheduled for December 8, 2024, at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC Mumbai. This groundbreaking event transcends the boundaries of a traditional fitness gathering to foster a movement dedicated to breaking stigmas surrounding women’s health, with a special focus on menstrual hygiene.
