24-Year-Old Women Gives Birth to Four Baby Girls, Defying Ultrasound Report

The medical team was surprised, as even the birth of triplets is considered extremely rare. Nurses and staff counselled her and prepared her mentally for a normal delivery.

Bihar: A 24-year-old woman, Bibi Hasirun, gave birth to four baby girls at the Baisi Primary Health Centre, with doctors ensuring a safe delivery. This has brought her total number of children to eight, as she already had two sons and two daughters.

According to family members, Hasirun experienced premature labour pains and was rushed to the health centre with the help of an ASHA worker. Doctors initially reviewed her ultrasound report, which had indicated three babies. The medical team was surprised, as even the birth of triplets is considered extremely rare. Nurses and staff counselled her and prepared her mentally for a normal delivery.

Not Mentioned in Ultrasound Report

During delivery, three baby girls were born first. Moments later, doctors noticed further movement in her womb, and it was discovered that a fourth baby was present — not mentioned in the ultrasound report. With extra caution, the medical team successfully delivered the fourth baby girl as well.

Doctors later examined both the mother and the newborns, confirming that all were healthy. News of the rare birth spread quickly, drawing crowds of local residents eager to see the babies.

Her husband, Kaiser Alam, said he was grateful to the ASHA worker and the doctors for their timely care. “My wife is only 24 and now we have eight children in total. The doctors and nurses played a big role in ensuring a safe delivery,” he said.

For advanced medical care and observation, the mother and all four babies were referred to Purnia Medical College. Experts noted that while multiple births do occur in India, the successful normal delivery of four healthy babies is extremely rare. In many such cases, the survival chances are low, but the Baisi case has become a story of hope and courage.
