They say when fortune blesses, it does so abundantly. This saying has once again come true in the Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh, where a woman has given birth to four babies at once in a private hospital. The entire family is overjoyed with the rare incidence. The mother is in good health, and the newborns include three girls and one boy.
However, the good news is that all four babies are healthy. The birth weights of the newborns were recorded as follows: the first baby weighed 1.5 kg, the second 1.3 kg, the third 1.1 kg, and the fourth 900 grams. A team of doctors is monitoring their health, and the hospital administration has confirmed that the newborns are stable and gradually gaining weight.
According to doctors, the woman delivered the babies prematurely at seven months instead of the full term. The newborns are currently receiving treatment and special care in the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU) with CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) support. The hospital is ensuring their proper care and monitoring their progress.
Dr. Roshan Upadhyay stated that giving birth to four babies at once is an extremely rare phenomenon, which usually does not occur naturally. It often happens due to medical interventions such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) or multiple pregnancies caused by other factors.
Family members revealed that the first ultrasound was performed five months into the pregnancy, where it was discovered that she was carrying four babies. The news of this rare delivery has caught the attention of many, highlighting both the medical challenge and the miracle of multiple births.
