UP Quadruplets Birth Case Stuns Doctors in Uttar Pradesh
In a rare and astonishing medical case from Uttar Pradesh, a 31-year-old woman gave birth to four babies over a span of five days, leaving even doctors amazed. What makes the case even more extraordinary is that all four babies were delivered naturally without surgery.
The woman, identified as Amina from Sambhal district, was admitted to Teerthanker Mahaveer University Hospital in Moradabad, where doctors were already aware that she was carrying quadruplets — an extremely rare pregnancy involving four babies at the same time.
UP Quadruplets Birth Case Faced Multiple Pregnancy Complications
According to doctors, Amina’s pregnancy remained highly complicated throughout. Each baby was developing in a separate amniotic sac, which increased the medical risks significantly.
She also suffered from high blood pressure and liver-related complications, leading to multiple hospital admissions during her pregnancy. Doctors had reportedly advised “fetal reduction,” a medical procedure used to reduce the number of fetuses in high-risk pregnancies to improve survival chances for the remaining babies.
However, Amina’s family decided to continue the pregnancy with all four babies.

The first labor pain began on May 8, and on May 9, Amina delivered her first baby boy, weighing only 710 grams.
Babies born with such extremely low birth weight often require intensive NICU support, oxygen assistance, infection protection, and constant monitoring due to the risk of breathing difficulties and other complications.
UP Quadruplets Birth Case: Doctors Delayed Remaining Deliveries for 5 Days

What happened next made the case even more remarkable.
Instead of immediately delivering the remaining babies, doctors stabilized the mother’s condition and successfully delayed the birth of the other three babies for five more days.
Medical experts believe those additional days significantly improved the survival chances of the remaining babies.
On May 14, Amina again went into labor and delivered another baby boy and two baby girls.

UP Quadruplets Birth Case: All Four Babies Born Through Normal Delivery
Doctors say this case is extraordinary for several reasons.
Why This Case Is Rare:
- Naturally conceived quadruplet pregnancies are extremely uncommon.
- Babies being born five days apart is medically rare.
- All four babies were delivered naturally without a C-section.
- Such high-risk pregnancies usually require emergency cesarean surgery.
Medical experts say successful normal delivery in a quadruplet pregnancy is considered exceptionally rare worldwide.
UP Quadruplets Birth Case: Premature Babies Still Under Observation
Despite the successful deliveries, doctors say the biggest challenge has only just begun.
Since all four babies were born prematurely, they remain vulnerable to:
- Breathing difficulties
- Weak immune systems
- Infections
- Vision-related complications
- Developmental delays
Hospital authorities stated that one baby is currently stable, while the others remain under special medical observation. The coming weeks will be critical for their growth and survival.
Family Thanks Doctors and Hospital Staff
The babies’ father, Mohammad Aleem, a grocery shop owner, thanked the doctors and hospital staff for their continuous efforts and care.
The family said the mother and babies survived because of constant monitoring and expert medical treatment provided by the hospital team.
Hospital officials described the case as a remarkable example of teamwork, modern medical science, and dedicated healthcare.
